Junior C.J. Krowiak is a multi-sport star at Union-Endicott High School. Krowiak is a 6’0” guard on the basketball court where he is a returning starter to a competitive Class AA Section 4 team. Good things are on the horizon for the athletic Krowiak.

In a recent discussion with Coach Alger from Union-Endicott, he said, “I think this will be a big year for him (Krowiak).” If he continues to progress from his Section 4 All-Conference honors a year ago, there is no reason to doubt this. Krowiak averaged 16 points and dished out four assists per game last season as a sophomore starter.

Coach Alger believes his young point guard is just starting to “tap into his ability. He (Krowiak) has a tremendous work ethic and drive to compete…his dynamic set of skills makes it challenging for defenses to guard (him).” So far this season, Krowiak is proving his coach right. He scored 23 points in an early season game, with 12 of the points coming in the final quarter. He has shown the ability to finish the game for his team.

Coach Alger believes that Krowiak is a “basketball coach’s wish. When coached up on something, he really makes an effort to get better. (He) never asks “why”…(he) just finds (a) way of getting it done…(he) listens to criticism well.” To improve his game in the off-season, Krowiak added strength and is showing off in his improved early season game. Coach Alger believes his “shooting ability has (become) better and his newly added strength will help withstand the beating of driving to the basket.”

We would like to thank Coach Alger. Union-Endicott will surely be a competitive team these next two seasons with C.J. Krowiak being a handful for the rest of the teams from Section 4.
